Massage therapy is a regulated health profession in British Columbia that focuses on the assessment and treatment of soft tissues and joints. It can be effective in supporting recovery from injury, reducing discomfort and tension, improving mobility, and enhancing overall well-being. By addressing muscles, fascia, nerves, and joints, massage therapy can help clients manage acute and chronic conditions, prevent injuries, and support long-term health.

My practice draws on a variety of therapeutic techniques, including General Swedish Massage, myofascial release, passive and active stretching, trigger point therapy, and more. I tailor each treatment to the individual, considering their unique needs, comfort level, and goals.

I take a client-centered approach that emphasizes clear communication, informed consent, and collaboration. My treatments aim not only to reduce discomfort and restore mobility, but also to provide clients with homecare strategies that may help them support their health. My focus is on creating safe, effective, and personalized care to help clients feel supported in both their recovery and their overall wellness.

After over a decade in construction, Shelby returned to school at WCCMT Victoria to begin a new chapter as an RMT. Shelby’s RMT career began in Quesnel in July 2024, and she relocated to Prince George for December 2025 to continue building her practice and supporting a new community.

Her treatments are patient-centered and trauma-informed, often incorporating Swedish massage techniques, myofascial release, trigger point therapy, stretching, and joint mobilizations. Each session is tailored to her clients’ unique needs and goals, which is her top priority. She also believes your health and wellness journey doesn’t stop when you leave the room- self-care and consistency at home can make a powerful difference with the right tools, guidance, and encouragement.

Shelby has no preferred area of practice and enjoys the variety that comes with treating different clients. She has confidence and success in addressing a wide range of concerns, including pregnancy-related, post-surgical recovery, and cancer care. She also completed a Practice Development Program course on headaches and temporomandibular joint dysfunction (TMJD), which gave her additional skills and knowledge to work intra-orally when indicated.

Outside of work, she enjoys adventuring- hiking, paddleboarding, fishing or rock hounding. She also loves a good book and staying active in her day to day life.
